JOM Online Services (“JOMos”, “we”, “us”) respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal data we collect through jomos.com.my, why we collect it, and how we handle it, in line with the Personal Data Protection Act 2010 (PDPA) of Malaysia.
What we collect
- Contact form: your name, email address, phone number (if given), the service you are interested in and your message.
- Newsletter: your email address.
- Technical data: standard web-server logs (IP address, browser type, pages visited, timestamps) kept for security and troubleshooting.
Why we collect it
- To respond to your enquiry and prepare a quotation.
- To send occasional updates about our products and services, only if you subscribed. Every email includes a way to unsubscribe.
- To keep the website secure and running.
How we store and share it
Contact and newsletter submissions are stored in this website’s database on our own server in a data centre, and enquiries are also emailed to our team. We do not sell or rent your personal data. We share it only with service providers we need to operate (for example email delivery and hosting), and only as far as necessary. We may disclose data where the law requires it.
Cookies and analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use the site (pages viewed, how they arrived, rough location by country or city). It sets first-party cookies (_ga, _ga_*) that expire after 13 months. IP addresses are anonymised and Google Signals is off, so the data is aggregated and cannot identify you. Analytics is not loaded for logged-in users. To opt out, block cookies for jomos.com.my in your browser or install the Google Analytics opt-out add-on. Google’s own handling of this data is described in its privacy policy.
Retention
We keep enquiry records for as long as needed to handle your request and for a reasonable period afterwards for business records. Newsletter addresses are kept until you unsubscribe. Server logs are rotated automatically.
Your rights
Under the PDPA you may ask us to access, correct or delete the personal data we hold about you, or withdraw consent to marketing. Email idham@jomos.com.my and we will respond within a reasonable time.
